Willie Mae Jones

Mrs. Willie Mae Jones, 88, passed away at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, MS, on May 18, 2026.

She attended local schools, forming the foundational values of community, family, and hard work that would define her entire life.

Mrs. Jones spent her life dedicated to caring for others, always prioritizing the needs, comfort, and happiness of her loved ones and neighbors above her own. Her spiritual foundation was the cornerstone of her existence. For many years, she was a faithful and dedicated member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. She served her church community with joy and devotion until her health began to fail.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Essie Mae Jones.

Survivors include her devoted son, Percy ( Joyce Jones); grandchildren, Sharonda Jones, Tanisha Jones, and Subar Langston; great-grandchildren, Ariana Langston and Trinity Carey; a host of extended family members, church family, and dear friends who were deeply loved by her.
