Wendy Owens, 45

Ms. Wendy Owens, 45, Collins, MS passed away on September 5, 2023.

Ms. Owens attended Collins High School, Collins, MS, and graduated in 1996.  She furthered her education at Jones Community College, Ellisville, and the University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, MS.  She was employed with the Covington County School District and the Covington County Boys and Girls Club for many years.  She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and especially her grandbaby, Xyla.  

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Owens; both paternal and maternal grandparents; niece, Jalisa Ownes; nephew, Denzel Owens.

Survivors include her companion, Harold "Blackie" Barnes, mother, Ethel Mae Owens; Owens;   daughters, Kayla, Daysha, Shania, and Veronica. Grandchildren, Xyla and Jakhran.  Sisters, Rita Owens and Denise Owens, in-laws, aunts, uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
