Richard Ray Hall

Mr. Richard Ray Hall passed away at his residence on September 11, 2025.

He was a hard-working and multi-talented man who built a life filled with determination, resilience, and entrepreneurship. He loved working the land, planting and tending crops. He and his wife, lovingly called "Momo," were always willing to share their harvest with anyone who stopped by. Though his formal education ended at the eighth grade due to the hardships of the Great Depression, he lived by example, showing the value of perseverance and generosity. His legacy of strength, love, and generosity will be carried on by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren in his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rome and Reedie Hall; siblings, Leffie Hall, Mary Ann Williams, Vivian Elliott, Carrie Berry, Alcee Hall, and Rome Hall, Jr; children, Maxie Hall Bonit and Gloria Hall Fountain.

Survivors include his wife, Magdalene Gray Hall; children, Anna Hall Amboree ( Robert), Margie Hall Canada, and bonus daughter, Mary Mamie Barnes (Vernon). Grandchildren, Dexter Fountain (Michelle), Karon Warford (David), Jeffery Sowells ( Kharla), Pamela Simmons, Amryl Ali (Sand), Tycie Magee, Torey Johnson, Stephanie Shears, Shannon Barnes, Robert Amboree, Jr., Quincy Canada, II, and Jean Ramon Amboree. Siblings, Katherine Slack, Paralee Porter, Mary Lewis Rice, and a host of other family members and friends.
