Marian Denise Winn, 61

Mrs. Marian Denise Winn, 61 passed away on  August 7, 2023.

 

She was a member of Mary Grove Baptist Church  where she was president of the Pastor's Aide and member of the Mission and Lady's of the Grove.    She attended Magee School System and graduated from Magee High School in 1979.  She continued her education at Co-Lin Community College and Jackson State University where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work.  She was employed with the Simpson County School System as a teacher and also employed with Fresenius Dialysis until her retirement.

 

She enjoyed spending time with her 16 grandchildren.  She had a passion for traveling and seeing new places and meeting new people.  

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Feazell Lofton, Jr, daughter, Lyric Barnes, sister, Belinda Durr and nephew, Wesley Lofton.

 

Survivors include her husband, Charles Winn;  mother, James Lofton; 8  children, Marcus Floyd(Sheree),  Tremane Winn(Laura), Johnathan  Womack (Jennifer), Natasha Winn, Lailah Price, and QuaChaunda Lockhart.  Goddaughters, Stephani Jones and Tiffany Wells.  Brothers, Billy Lofton ( Emma), Bernard Lofto (Alesia).  Sisters, Deborah Moore(Mo),  Delois Scott( Richard), Mary Duckworth (Louis) and Jackie Lee.  Aunts, Mary Louise Parker, Jenie Lofton, Yvonne Baker, Betty Camper, Peggy Washington, and uncle, Charles Lofton.  Special cousins, Penny Lofton, Vivian White, Janice Howard, and a large host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
