Lynne Darsey Tharpe

Lynne Darsey Tharpe passed away on November 5th, 2024 in Prentiss, MS. She was born February 20th, 1956 in Raceland, Louisiana to Elphey James Darsey and Joyce Rita Arabie. She was a dedicated employee to the Piggly Wiggly in Prenitss, MS, serving numerous years as the Deli Manager for the Piggly Wiggly family and the Ramey's family under their previous ownership. She was loved by the people of Prentiss and surrounding communities. She helped anyone who needed a little extra guidance in the right direction.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Terry Darsey.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her 3 sons, John (Sarah) Forrestier of Thibodaux, LA, Ray Tharpe of Houma, LA, Tanner (Hailey) Tharpe of Purvis, MS; 2 Daughters, Jayme (Phillip) Davidson of DeRidder, LA and Sarah Tharpe of Houma, LA; 6 grandchildren, Kelsey, Joyce, McKenzie, Payce, Phe'Be, & Elliott. She also leaves behind 2 brothers, Kevin (Barbara) Darsey and Gary Darsey; 4 sisters, Kay (John) Rogers, Lisa (Karl) Rivere, Cathy (Timmy) Boudreaux, and Kitti (Bryan) Ledet.

Memorial Service:

Monday, November 11th, 2024, at Reeve's Funeral Home in Mt. Olive, MS.

Inurnment:

A private ceremony will be held at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Raceland, LA at

a later date.
