Mr. Lionel Alexander, 71, formerly of Copiah County and Simpson County passed away on January 27, 2023.
Mr. Alexander attended school in New Hymn and Mendenhall High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army and served honorably. He worked in construction with Jack Leonard and Blain Construction Companies. Later he worked for Valley Foods. He had a passion for working on electronics.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ike and Alberta Alexander, his wife, Geneva Alexander and sister, Mattie Mae Alexander.
Survivors include his children, Melinda Alexander and Carolyn(Leonard) Strickland; 2 grandchildren; three siblings, Charlie Mae(Matthew) Brown, Mildred (Larry) Berkhalter, Catherine(Larry) Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
