Mrs. Lessie B. Edison, Collins, MS passed away on September 18, 2022 at Covington County Hospital , Collins, MS.
Mrs. Edison was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church early in life and later joined Shady Oak Missionary Baptist Church. She was the definition of a Virtuous Woman because of all the titles that she possessed, a compassionate Mother, a dedicated grandmother, a faithful friend and community servant. She was known to many as, Mama, Miss B, Miss Lessie, Mom, Grandmother, Lazy Lessie, Aunt Lessie, Muh-in-Law, Aunt B and Tee Tee".
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Retha Barnes.
Survivors include her seven children, Denise(Gerald) Ashford, Anita Boose, Mechelle (Richard) Sampson, Trichelle Graham, Johnny Ray (Latonia) Edison, Kevin (Nicole) Edison, and Dr. Jessica (Louis) White. Brothers, Leonard, Barnes( Derrell), Billy Barnes (Juanita) and George Barnes( Rochelle). 21 grandchildren, an abundance of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
