Joune McLaurin, 61

Mr. Joune Charles McLaurin, 61, Erie, PA ( formerly of Collins, MS) died on October 2, 2022 at his residence in Erie, PA.

 

Mr. McLaurin retired from City of Erie Waterworks Department after more than twenty five  years of employment.  He was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers Football fan. He enjoyed working with his  lawn care service business, traveling to Mississippi, spending time with his family and listening to music.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Roosevelt McLaurin, maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents and sister, Sherry Jo Nivens.

 

Survivors include his mother, Carmella Higgs McLaurin; his aunt Josephine who raised him; sons, Jauzne Wayne(Kaletta), Dorrell McLaurin (Honey) and Kevin McLaurin ( Angie), all of Erie, PA and daughter, Jada McLaurin(Glenn) , Atlanta, GA; 35 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Michael McLaurin OH and Christopher Bridges, PA.  Seven sisters, Rose Ann Harden, PA, Charlotte Givens, MD, Philomena McLaurin, GA, Sandra Kay(Charles)MS, Lacetta Edwards, PA ,  Rosanne Bell, OH  and Thurnie Crumbly, PA and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other family members and a host of friends.

 

Honorary Pallbearers:  Juazne Wayne Michael McLaurin, Jaquel Wayne, Lacardo Wll, and Devon Selby, Jr.

 

Active Pallbearers:  Dorrell McLaurin, Lee Earl McLaurin, Kevin McLaurin, Nicholas McLaurin , Ronnie Davis and Paul Davis.

 

Flower Bearers:  Grandchildren and Nieces.
