Mr. Johnny Ray Hayes, Collins, MS, passed away at his residence on September 9, 2022.
Mr. Hayes attended school in the Covington County School District. He was employed at Lampton Love for 10 years; Don's Farm Store/Co-op for over 18 years and the Covington School District. He retired from Don's Farm Store, January, 2022, but decided to return in a part time position, saying "there's only so much TV you can watch and grass you can cut!". He was a huge football fan and extremely passionate about the Dallas Cowboys.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Javan Hayes and Bobbie Jean"Sweet" Hayes and brother, Claude "Sonny" Barney.
Survivors include, children, Marcus Anderson, Grand Prairie, TX, Johnathon Anderson(Natasha), Collins, MS, Chamekia (James) Cole, Colby, KS. Tiffany(James) Hayes-Servideo, Dover AFB, DE., and Jessica Hayes, D'Iberville, MS; Jerry Hayes, Terry Hayes, Larry"Duke"Hayes, all of Collins, Jimmy "Bo" (Betty) Hayes, Terry, MS; sisters, Wanda(Larry) Doby, Charlotte ( Joe) Williams, Lesa (Ricardo) Polk, Debbie(Mike) Herrin, all of Collins; four aunts, Aziene Hayes, Alice Hayes, Patricia Gray and Mary McNair; 11 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
