Mr. McNair, 78, Magee, MS was a member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He was always a staunch supporter of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Buckhalter and Etta Rae Buckhalter; sisters, Willie Mae McNair and Vernell Carollway; brothers, Willie Earl McNair and O. C. Buckhalter.
Survivors include his children, Selena McNair, Serena(Sidney) Forester, Beverly Lax, Dianne McNair, Joanne McNair, Devon McNair and John McNair, Jr.
Siblings, James (Gloria) McNair, Rosie Graves, Eloise Williamson, Charlene McNair, Willie Jewel (Walter) Stanfield, and Dorothy Winston along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
