Mr. John L. Griffith, 76, Mount Olive, MS passed away on October 28, 2024, at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, MS.

Mr. Griffith was a Mount Carmel Holiness Church member early in life and later in life, united with Rockhill Church of Christ. He was a graduate of J. E. Johnson High School and was active in football. He was a farmer and worked for many years as a cement finisher for many companies.

He loved antique cars/trucks; hunting, fishing, and gardening. He often shared his produce with the community and the elderly. He had a very humble spirit and was an intelligent and peaceful person.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dannie and Lillian Griffith; brothers, Otis Griffith and Douglas Griffith; and sister Jewell Griffith.

Survivors include daughters, Jacaqueline Poole, Hattiesburg, MS, Dr.Hope Griffith-Jones(Brian), Gulfport, MS, and Pamela Griffith, Gulfport; sons, Eric Griffith, Russell and Joel Griffith; grandchildren, Devoskiea Poole, Jatius Leavy, Tandra Griffith, Jakera Anderson, Daisha Fairley, Dontavius, Destiny Jones, Jaboree Jones, and Braylnn Jones. Great grandchild, Jay'un Anderson; sisters, Barbara Griffith, Hattiesburg, Lois-Griffith-Brown, Atlanta, Ga., and Miriam Griffith, Mount Olive. Brothers Larry Griffith, Dannie(Sherry)Griffith, Jr., Anthony Griffith and Dexter Griffith, Mount Olive, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him deeply.
