Mr. Sims was a graduate of Benson High School, Ellisville, MS and served in the United States Army. He relocated to New Orleans, LA where he attended Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. He was faithful to his family and friends and always showed love and support. He was cared for deeply by the veterans and staff at Covington County Veterans Home, Collins, MS.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Sims; four brothers, Cecil Sims, Cethus Sims, John Sims, and Charles Sims and sisters, Winnie Husband and Curly Mae Sims.
Survivors include children, Betty Hills, Anita Hills,Mt. Olive, Veronique Williams, New Orleans, Edna Mae Sims, Nebraska. Four sons, Harry Hills, Jeffrey Hills, both of New Orleans; Willie James Fairley , Hattiesburg, and John Harry Sims,Seminary, MS. Sisters, Ellistine Watts and Lizzie Mae Stewart; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
