Mrs. Hattie Coella Barnes died on October 5, 2025, at the Hattiesburg Health and Rehab Center, Hattiesburg, MS.

She was a member of Rocky Valley Missionary Baptist Church and employed at Collinswood/Sanderson Farms for 36 years until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Shelby Magee and Molly-Price Magee; husband, Olee Barnes; daughter, Willene Gibbs; stepdaughter, Shelby Jean Gill; and siblings, Everlean Nelson, Charles Magtee, Jr., John Magee, Eli Magee, Jessie Mae Thompson, Elizabeth Magee, and Arthur Magee.

Survivors include children, Leo(Debbie) Barnes, Hattiesburg, MS; Lee Ottis ( Verna) Barnes; and Cassandra(Milton) Luvine Gollins, MS, and Rochelle(Johnny) Gadner, Ellisville, MS, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
