Mrs. Eliza Lindsey Brown, 79 was a member of Old Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, Collins, MS. She attended Carver Central High School, Collins and Smith County Training School, Taylorsville, MS where she graduated in 1964. She was a member of the Smith County Training School basketball team. She was employed at Collinswood Chicken Poultry Plant and Sanderson Farms for 41 years until she retired.
She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James B. Lindsey and luma Cooper Lindsey; husband, Robert Brown, Sr.; son London Ledell Brown; brothers, James Lindsey, Willie Lindsey, Sr., George Lindsey, Grover L. Lindsey, and Joseph Lindsey.
Survivors include daughters, Mary Ann (Reverend James Magee, and Felica M (Chris) Wilcox; sons, Robert J(Latasha) Brown Jr., David L. Brown, and Zack A. (Deon) Brown; brothers, Archie Lindsey, Frank (Kim) Lindsey, Jim Lindsey, Jr., Soloman Lindsey, and Howard Lindsey; sister Mattie (Walter) Price; one great aunt, Martha Page; 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
