Edward Crosby, 83

Mr. Edward Crosby passed away on July 29, 2025.

As a young man, Mr. Crosby relocated to Oakland, CA. He was employed as an engineer operator with DeSilva Gates Construction, where his skill and commitment earned him the respect of his colleagues. After retirement, he returned to his hometown of Colins to be closer to family and care for his father.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernie and Sallie Crosby; brothers, Odell Crosby and C. L. Crosby. Lavern Crosby, Levester Crosby, and Val Crosby; sisters, Ethel Grimes, Berth Barnett, and Cora McNair.

Survivors include his wife, Dinah Crosby, Hattiesburg, MS; son, Charles Hayes, Collins; daughters, Felicia Crosby, Hayward, CA, Monique Crosby, Purvis, MS, Norma Crosby( Franko Chamberlain), Purvis, and Kayla Mobley(Marlon), Hattiesburg. Siblings, Annie Ruth McGee, Collins, Julia Crosby, Atlanta, Ga, Peggy (Ed) Hall, and Ruby Mae Willians, both of CA, Robert Crosby, and Vernon (Rose Crosby, CA) and Charles Crosby, Collins. 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
