Dexter "Dex" Jerome Griffin, 40

Mr. Dexter "Dex" Jerome Griffin, 40, Hattiesburg, MS and (formerly of Collins, MS) passed away in Hattiesburg, MS on February 13, 2023

 

His hobbies were fishing, drawing and having lots of fun with family and friends.

 

He attended Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Mount Olive, MS.  and Collins High School with the class of 2001.  He continued his education in Houston, TX and was employed with Howard Industries, Laurel, MS.  

 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nell McLaurin, Eva Buckhalter, and LeRoy Thompson and aunt, Rose Mary Stewart.

 

Survivors include his wife, Theresa Evan Griffin; parents, Roy Lee Thompson and Carolyn McLaurin; sons, Ja'Kel Thompson and DaJon Thompson; daughter, Damaris Griffin; grandson, Ja'Kel Thompson, Jr.  Brothers, Corey McLaurin, Laquenta McLaurin, Roy Mickell(Rekeiyana), Sanchez Mickell, and one sister, Kylie Thompson and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and many other friends.
