Annette Fairley Keys

Mrs. Angela Fairley Keys, 67, Collins, MS (Rocky Valley Community), passed away at her residence on July 20, 2026.

Mrs. Fairley was born into a God-fearing home where faith was the foundation of life. She became a faithful member of Rock Valley Baptist Church, Collins, MS, at an early age, and her relationship with God became the anchor of her life, sustaining her through every triumph, every challenge, and every season with unwavering grace and steadfast faith.

She attended Carver Central High School, Collins, MS. In February 1978, she enlisted in the United States Army National Guard, where she served faithfully with honor, integrity, and distinction until January 1990. Following her military career, Mrs. Keys continued her ministry of service by caring for others in her community. For twelve years, she worked as a culinary professional at the very middle school she attended. She served with excellence, humility, and a heart that reflected the love of God.

She was a devoted wife to her husband, Herman Keys, and treasured her family. Her legacy will forever live on in the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were privileged to know her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herman; parents, J.C. and Almedia Fairley; three sisters and five brothers.

Survivors include her children, Thomas (Christine) Fairley, Herman, Jr ( Olivia) Keys, Katina (Tivon) Hawthorne, Tammy ( Oliver) Patterson, Shana Keys, and Ladonna(Sheraton) Fairley; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her heart. Siblings, Jenex Fairley, Jearlein Magee, and Brenda Raymond, together with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, treasured friends, and countless others whose lives were forever changed by her compassion, wisdom, generosity, and steadfast faith.
