Mrs Amanda Chisolm Bender, 97, Florence, MS passed away at her residence on December 31, 2022.
Mrs. Bender attended Lincoln Attendance Center, Mount Olive, MS; graduated from Piney Woods Country Life School, Piney Woods, MS. She was a graduate of Alcorn State University and retired as an educator with over 40 years of service in Sharkey County, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Essie and Ada Chisolm; husband, Willie Allen Bender, Sr.
Survivors include her sons, Bruce Allen(Jacqueline) Bender, Florence, MS, Willie Ralph (Joyce) Bender, Madison, MS and Willie Allen Bender, Jr., San Francisco, CA; and grandson, Taylor Dow; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
